The Libraries service review was launched in April 2021. Since then we have been busy setting up the project and resources. We have been working with library staff to develop the survey and engagement plans, gathering their thoughts, ideas and aspirations.

Our engagement with residents, community groups, businesses, library users, and non-users began with a public survey launch here on Commonplace on 19 July 2021. The survey aims to gather views, ideas and suggestions that will help shape the future of our libraries. Activity will take place online, on paper, by phone, and where possible in person, in line with current Covid guidelines.

Spring 2022
Later this year, we will analyse all feedback collected from our residents and stakeholders to develop a set of recommendations on how to improve the Libraries service. The recommendations to the Council will help shape the priorities for a new Library strategy. The results of this work will be made public in 2022.
